This project focused on the exterior envelope of a new build. The walls were wrapped in a continuous layer of taped and sealed rigid-foam insulation, eliminating thermal bridging and giving the home a high-performance, energy-efficient shell ahead of the cladding.
With new black-clad windows set and flashed, the crew installed durable board-and-batten steel siding along with vented black metal soffit and fascia — a clean, modern, low-maintenance exterior built for the climate.
Materials Used
Continuous rigid-foam wall insulation (taped and sealed); new black vinyl windows; Mitten black board-and-batten vinyl siding; Novik stacked stone; vented black aluminum soffit and fascia.
Challenges
Wrapping the entire structure in a continuous, fully-taped insulation layer to eliminate thermal bridging, then detailing crisp dark siding and soffit around every window and eave.
Result
A modern look, energy-efficient exterior finished in low-maintenance Mitten black vinyl siding and Novik stacked stone with clean, modern lines.
